Exploring the Unknown, Building Futures of Our Own

The 2025 National Science Month Celebration with the theme “Harnessing the Unknown: Powering the Future through Science and Innovation” inspires us students to appreciate the role of science in shaping our future. It shows that the “unknown” should not scare us but motivate us to discover new things and create solutions that can help people and the world. Through science, we are reminded that curiosity and creativity can lead to amazing opportunities.

Science and society work hand in hand, and we can clearly see this in our everyday lives. Technology, medicine, and even simple tools we use in school are products of science that make living and learning easier. In the coming decades, society will continue to depend on science to solve problems like climate change, lack of resources, and health concerns. As students, we will be part of this change, since the discoveries and innovations of today will guide our future careers and lifestyles.

Looking forward, science and innovation will be the key to progress. If we continue to support and learn from science, we will be ready to face challenges and turn them into opportunities. By exploring the unknown, we are not just imagining the future—we are helping build it, one discovery at a time.

Rising Above: Filipino Resilience Amidst Climate Change

Climate change has caused big changes in our environment that affect many Filipinos. We experience stronger typhoons, heavier floods, and longer droughts that damage homes, crops, and livelihoods. These sudden disasters make life harder, especially for those who already struggle.

Aside from natural causes, human actions also play a big part. Cutting down trees, improper waste disposal, and pollution make our communities more at risk. Because of these, floods become worse and our surroundings become less safe and healthy.

Even with these challenges, Filipinos are known to be resilient. We help one another, rebuild, and find ways to move forward. Still, I believe we should also focus on caring for the environment and practicing sustainability, so that future generations can live in a safer and healthier place.

My Intramurals Experience

This year’s intramurals was truly a fun and exciting event. The program started at the ISNHS Gymnasium and it was great to see all the teams showing their energy and pride. I was part of Grade 10 Red Falcons, and even if I wasn’t a player, I still felt proud to support my team.

During the event, I enjoyed watching games like basketball and dancesport. It was exciting to see my classmates and schoolmates compete and give their best. The cheers and support from the crowd made every match even more enjoyable.

What I liked most about the intramurals was the bonding and school spirit. Everyone worked together and had fun, whether they were playing or cheering. It was a simple yet enjoyable experience that I’m glad to be part of.
