Rising Above: Filipino Resilience Amidst Climate Change

Climate change has caused big changes in our environment that affect many Filipinos. We experience stronger typhoons, heavier floods, and longer droughts that damage homes, crops, and livelihoods. These sudden disasters make life harder, especially for those who already struggle.

Aside from natural causes, human actions also play a big part. Cutting down trees, improper waste disposal, and pollution make our communities more at risk. Because of these, floods become worse and our surroundings become less safe and healthy.

Even with these challenges, Filipinos are known to be resilient. We help one another, rebuild, and find ways to move forward. Still, I believe we should also focus on caring for the environment and practicing sustainability, so that future generations can live in a safer and healthier place.
